ManjaLara This drama is a combination of conflict and tragedy with a comedic element. Between tears and laughter, we see a story that strengthens a girl who demands justice. Manjalara Kamarul Azlan was born into a rich and loving family is a sweet and loving girl. However, due to unfortunate events she lost her father at the tender age of 11 and was unwillingly separated from her mother soon after. Manja was sent to live with her aunt Sahara who despises her family and is envious of their happiness and family fortune will stop at nothing to destroy it. Despite being separated from her mother and living under the tyrannical roof of her aunt she remained an optimist because she knows that when she finished her studies she’ll be reunited with her mother again. Unfortunately, that was not her destiny her mother died in a car accident as she was set to be reunited with her mother. The only thing that Manja has ever hoped for was completely shattered after hearing the news of her mother’s death. Overwhelmed with sorrow, Manja falls victim to binge eating which eventually causes her to be obese. However, she remains a very jovial and lovely personality having been through such a life altering event. Her close uncle, Kamarul Johan (Sahara’s huband) decides to take Manja into his care and has offered a his villa to accommodate Manja which apparently belongs to Manja based on her father’s will. It is here in the villa that Manja learns the teal meaning of love and hate.
